FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Colorado Group, Inc.
February 15, 2010
A family medical practice will be opening this spring in Boulder’s Gunbarrel neighborhood, in association with Avista Adventist Hospital, announced real estate brokers Craig Ockers and Chris Hansen with The Colorado Group. Ockers and Hansen represented Avista in the transaction: a 2,839 square foot facility across from the Gunbarrel King Soopers.
Formerly housing a dry cleaners, a large portion of the building at 5365 Spine Road is being repurposed for medical facilities, Ockers said. Sholar Architects has been retained by Avista Hospital to “reinvent the space” to meet the needs of the new medical practice.
“This is also a good daytime employment area, with IBM, Celestial Seasonings and other significant companies in the area,” Hansen noted. “The convenience of excellent daytime medical care will be of great benefit to employees in the area, as well as to those living in nearby residential neighborhoods.”
Long-time Boulder area physician Dr. R. Scott Daarud will be anchoring the new Gunbarrel family practice facility. He has practiced in Boulder County since 1983, formerly at the Gunbarrel Medical Center. Dr. Daarud is accepting new patients, and appointments may be made by calling 303-269-2500.
Erik Swanson, with Swanson Property Inc. in Denver represented the building’s owner.
